Lately I have been saying and doing things out of my comfort zone. I have always considered myself to be open-minded, but circumstances are truly putting this trait to the forefront.

Luckily, I have a great support system of friends and family members who continually push me to a better me and open my mind to new possibilities I hadn’t seen before.

At times it is painful and at times it is exhilarating.

It is forcing me to honest and real.

My hope is that this moment will be one of those moments that defines me in the future.

My bigger hope is that my son will see this moment and be inspired to be just as open-minded should life ever throw him a curve ball.
