I Thought I Lived in Florida… – #BLOG365 Day 121

So…I thought I lived in Florida. The 24 degree weather is convincing me otherwise. I do realize we are the only state not covered in snow at this moment. Listen, below 40 is cold for us Floridians. Below 70 and I am in a sweater or jacket. So when Jack Frost hits you over the head, on the weekend!, and you are warm-blooded like me, and living in a 19th century home, you really don’t feel like doing much of anything. That includes blogging. All you want to do is stay curled up under a blanket next to your space heater. Two pairs of socks on and the Golden Globes to keep you warm.

I opened WordPress today to be reminded I hadn’t blogged in four days. What?!

I have been too busy trying to invent ways to keep my home toasty. If you place the space heater near the vent does it heat the room faster? Answer is yes.

And then, there was the transformer that blew in the wee hours of Sunday morning. I thought it was a ghost quite honestly. I have heard rumors our house is haunted (let’s not think about that…I shudder). Explosion, blue light outside your window. Not the kind of thing you want to wake up to when you are antsy about ghosts to begin with. Anyway, we were without power all night on one of the coldest nights of the year. I didn’t sleep. Sunday was nap day.

Yes, I sound like one of our students. You know the type, the ones who have 5o excuses about why things don’t get done.

I know, I know.

But, today I am back on the blogging train.

Choo choo!
