A few days ago I wrote a post about the One Little Word project.

I toyed around with the idea of using the word “words,” but realized that was more a word for 2016. I decided I wanted something more in my word for 2017. I considered a long list of words and finally settled on:

I am pretty sold on this word because it implies that I am a work in progress and I am preparing myself for something more. This is really how I live my life, always working towards another goal or milestone while developing as an individual, a parent, and a professional.

Refining. Improving. Elevating. Educating myself.

I don’t want to grow (I am over the growth mindset craze). I want to fine tune my best qualities and become the best version of me.
