As I grow older I find myself more and more in tune with who I am as a person. I wish I had this insight as a young adult. Oh well!
One thing I have come to terms with over the years is the fact that I am a bit of a procrastinator. I might take notes for a project weeks in advance, but when it came to the actual work, I work best in the last minute, after I have had time to process and think about the direction I want to go. I just finished Originals by Adam Brown and I was so happy to read this line:
“Procrastination turns out to be a common habit of creative thinkers and great problem solvers.”
Yes!
Brown cites studies and examples of famous procrastinators: Da Vinci, Martin Luther King, Frank Lloyd Wright, Mark Twain, and Lincoln. I am ok with being in the club of procrastinators with these people.
