I have a hectic summer planned. It’s par for the course for me. I usually spend my summers engaged in professional development. Going to summer institutes and conferences and spending time in Colonial Williamsburg as a Master Teacher Peer Facilitator. I love the variety my summer brings. I love the connections I make with other educators. I love sharing my passions and I love learning new things.
This year after Germany for two weeks with TOP I am tackling a 900 mile move and a new position. Variety for sure. And a lot of work.
So, for the next few days I will be relaxing. I will be playing board games with my son and watching trash TV and celebrating family birthdays. I will be blogging. Believe it or not, I find this pretty relaxing.
I like to stay busy. But, I am determined not to let my to-do list creep into my mind. At least for a few days.
Here’s to taking a moment.
Recentering and connecting with those we love.
