There is a lot going on in our nation right now.
It’s time for teachers to do what we do best…teach, expose, question, connect, build relationships, build community, support.
Because right now our kids need it more than ever and we can’t shy away. We can’t shy away from difficult conversations. We can’t sweep things under the rug.
We can’t worry about our content standards and our curriculum. The best lessons our kids will ever learn won’t come from our textbooks.
I can’t imagine what I would say to my students if I was still in the classroom. I sometimes don’t know what to say to my own son.
