Today my son asked me this :

“When will we ever not be able to look at our notes or our books in the real world?”

Truer words have never been spoken. When? I have rarely been without the help of my materials, my colleagues, my notes in the real world. In fact, no one ever looks twice when I pull out anything to help me with a project. They don’t question when I phone I friend. I don’t always have to memorize everything. Actually there is very little I do memorize in my daily life. I commit things to memory from application, from transfer, from working with what I know.
